Does the Glen Allen home you live in have an interesting historical story?

Do you have a funny story about the Old Glen Allen School? Do you plan on becoming a teacher/fireman/ business owner in Glen Allen in the future? Tell us your Glen Allen Story!

Glen Allen Day on September 17th will celebrate Glen Allen’s Past, Present, and Future in conjunction with Henrico’s 400th anniversary. The Glen Allen Ruritans would like to hear from current and former Henrico citizens about their experiences in relationship to Glen Allen in the past/present and/or future in an essay of 500 words or less. There will be two winners, one from the age group of 18 and older, and one from the age group of 5 to 17 years old. Winning entries will be reprinted in the Glen Allen Day 2011 Booklet, Richmond Magazine September Issue, and North of the James Magazine September issue. The essays will also be displayed at Glen Allen Day in a special area celebrating “The Glen Allen Story”.
